How to protect your decking from frost

Magical winter mornings have quickly come upon us, along with longer nights, freezing temperatures, a chill in the air and a glistening layer of icy frost covering the environment.

Whilst beautiful to look at, sadly no surface is immune to the hazardous, slippery effects of frost. Fortunately, it couldn’t be easier to remove from your Millboard decking when temperatures plummet.

All you need is one key ingredient: white salt. Simply lightly spread across your frosty deck. Please don’t use rock salt though, as this can be abrasive. Once the weather warms up, just wash off with soapy water and a brush.

Should we be lucky enough to see snow this winter, this can also be easily removed. Just use a stiff broom or a plastic snow shovel to clear it.
