Millboard is delighted to announce the winners of our Project of the Year Awards 2018. The standard of entries were incredibly high and made the judging panel’s job incredibly difficult but after much deliberation we have managed to select our Gold, Silver and Bronze award winners. Thank you to all those who submitted an entry into our Project of the Year Awards, we saw some amazing projects and innovative uses of Millboard but there can only sadly be a small number of winners.

Residential Project of the Year

Gold – Decking on Steel

This project wowed the entire judging panel with the high level of design and flawless execution. Attention to detail was clear throughout and the curved seat turned the project into a real showstopper. The inclusion of lights and balustrading have also made this a real standout.

Silver – Kingfisher Decking

The curved deck it was felt highlighted one of the main USPs of Millboard in that you can do anything you want with it including creating these brilliant circular deck areas. By incorporating curved steps and also perfectly matching the curved paving area a really unique space has been created.

Bronze – Arcadia Living

This multi-level deck area incorporating a lovely seating area certainly made an impression. Real attention to detail, a great design, a brilliant build has resulted in this great looking deck area. The separate seating area constructed from Millboard helps bring the garden together and creates a lovely entertaining space.

Commercial Project of the Year

Gold – P&P Joinery

This walk way and external terrace area on a restaurant in Falkirk really showcases the rustic beauty of the Weathered Oak range. Perfectly matched with rustic balustrade rope the area has become a real highlight of the restaurant and the owner is looking to include similar areas on his new restaurants.

Silver – KA Design and Build

This job shows perfectly that Millboard is more than just a board, used here incredibly effectively as a cladding to a building it creates a really visually pleasing area with none of the upkeep that a traditional timber cladding would need.

Bronze – Harlow Garden Services

What’s better than relaxing in a pub garden on a summer evening? Doing so on this beautiful Vintage Millboard deck would certainly do the trick. Constructed using Plas Pro this is now a completely fit and forget deck area for the pub and shows why Millboard is perfect in these settings.

Unique Use of Millboard

Gold – New English Living

This has resulted in a great space with a real showpiece in the water feature.

Creating a real focal point of the deck and allowing the customer to truly enjoy Living Life Outside. The curved was achieved using our Flexible Bullnose Edging, a unique product on the marketplace.

Bronze – All on Deck

It can sometimes be challenging when faced with a shed a the bottom of the garden and creating an outdoor living area, not for the boys at All on Deck who have created this beautiful Emberred Cladded Wall including planters which really finishes off the Smoked Oak deck beautifully.
