The project
A 1930s bungalow renovation in Sussex in need of some kerb-appeal
Project Location
Sussex
We are delighted to share this stunning property transformation using Millboard Envello Shadow Line Burnt Cedar. Located in Sussex, this project started life as a small 1930s bungalow which has been transformed into a beautifully modern property with an impact.
Homeowners Andy and Lisa undertook the extension project to double the interior living space, creating a beautiful backdrop for entertaining family and friends at the back and adding much-desired kerb appeal at the front.
“We chose the Shadow Line Burnt Cedar as we wanted something that would elevate our home with a contemporary finish but would equally be sympathetic to the neighbouring properties.
When the samples arrived from Millboard we could instantly see and feel the quality. It was quite simply in a different league. We had samples from just about every wood-look composite cladding company on the market, but most of the samples we saw looked and felt too false or plastic-looking.”
"Using Millboard cladding was by far our best decision. We feel that our house is quite literally wrapped in quality. It is quite simply in a different league to other options on the market. The best part of it is, most of the visitors to our home think the cladding is real wood – it looks extraordinary."

Andy and Lisa also found a visit to the London Showroom really useful when they were deciding.
“We wanted to imagine how a 12m wide wall clad in Burnt Cedar would look – so we visited the Clerkenwell design space in London. The team were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, which reassured us that Burnt Cedar was the best solution.”
Andy and Lisa are thrilled with the finished result – and it’s easy to see why. The striking dark tones of Burnt Cedar certainly add kerb appeal to create a contemporary and striking exterior.
“Choosing Envello Shadow Line in Burnt Cedar has added style, warmth, character and an identity to what could have otherwise been a pedestrian looking exterior.
